By default, I teach undergraduate Control Engineering at NSU and usually mix and match a couple of other courses based on my current interest or the need of the department. Usually, the courses I teach have a semester-long project component.
I enjoy developing and updating curriculum on a regular basis. The Control Engineering course that I teach has evolved vastly over the past several years. Have also designed the Control Engineering trail in M.Sc. program at NSU along with my colleague Dr. Shahnewaz Siddique. At NSU, Dr. Shahnewaz often shares the responsibility of undergrad Control Engineering with me by teaching several sections each year. Dr. Mohammad Sahadet Hossain and Dr. Monir Hossain of Department of Math and Physics at NSU have also taught Control courses. Immensely enjoy collaborating on and discussing about the curriculum with each of my Control colleagues!
Currently, I am enjoying finding innovative solutions to online teaching, specially adapting Control Engineering and Electronics courses for engaging online dissemination. A graphics tablet and a couple of amazing lab instructors sharing the same level of enthusiasm of tackling the challenges of teaching during COVID’19 have been of great benefit so far!
